Too Busy to Blog?

So it seems that for the last two weeks I have had absolutely no time to post any blogs. This blog will sort of be my catch up blog, and I think you'll see why I have been too busy to blog. Lets start two weeks ago when T and I went to a mutual friends wedding in Georgetown. It was a beautiful wedding, and I'm so happy for her!

The next weekend after the wedding, Brant and I went to Lake Austin with some of our friends. We mostly surfed and hung out in the coves.

After a weekend at the lake, Brant and I decided to bring the camper out and camp for a week and a half. Jason and Kaysi joined us one evening, and we went out to eat at Ski Shores on the lake.

The following day, Brant had some friends from the station came out to the lake. Keith and Mike also brought their own boats. To bad we didn't get to boat much because the lake was really foggy. We have never seen it like this before.

After camping at the lake for a few days, I went out on Friday and celebrated T's birthday. Several of our friends and I took her to dinner at Chili's and then we went downtown.

On Saturday, it was off to Dallas to go to the Rangers / Red Sox game. Of course we were all exhausted from the night before, but somehow I was the one who was chosen to drive.

Once we FINALLY got there, we stopped for some lunch at Joe's Crab Shack, and again celebrated T's birthday. She had to run around the restaurant with her bib on!

Then it was time for the game!

After the game we went out to celebrate Scott's birthday too.

On Monday, Brant and I were back at the lake. Jason, Kaysi and Keith all stayed the night with us. Keith brought the jet boat out again, but the weather was not really cooperating with us. So I didn't take very many pictures.

So now it's Tuesday, our last night, and it's just Brant and I camping tonight. I think I need a vacation from our vacation! I'm ready to be home.

Beach Party!

Every July several people from Bastrop get together and take a trip down to Port Aransas. This past weekend Brant and I, along with our friends, were fortunate enough to enjoy a weekend of sun, sand, water and the bars. We left Friday after lunch and got to the beach around four. We set up the travel trailer, ate some dinner and then went to Bernies, a local bar.

On Saturday, we spent the day at the beach.

I'm glad to know my husband isn't the only guy who makes silly faces in pictures! Once we had enough of the beach we went home, cleaned up and went out again. We started the night off at Bernies and then ended up at Salty Dog and later Sharkys.

I'm not really sure what's going on in this picture. I think I was singing! Of course Brant has to be silly too.

It was a great weekend! Not only do we get to see great friends, but this trip is also where Brant proposed four years ago. Hopefully we have a chance to come back every year.

Yup! I married that guy.

Lake Austin

We finished out our week of camping by inviting some friends to camp with us on Saturday. It was a nice sunny day and the weather was perfect for a BBQ as well.

We have really enjoyed our camper and our next stop is Port Aransas this coming weekend. I can't wait !!!

Aquapalooza!

This past weekend Brant and I were at Lake Travis for Aquapalooza. This was the first year this event has been in Texas, so we gathered up a bunch of friends and decided to make it a camping/lake weekend. I believe the news stations said there were about 50,000 people who attended, and I believe it. It reminded me of Chilifest, but on the water. It was so much fun!

Now Brant and I have moved the travel trailer and will be camping at Lake Austin for the next week. I'm lucky I didn't have to take off work because I just work 10 minutes away. That also means I can sleep in because I won't have to drive an hour to work!

A Night Out

The best thing about holiday weekends is that all your friends who have moved away come back to town and want to party! Last night we went downtown to a bar called Rebels. It was our first time there and Brant and I had a blast.
