Our Second Home

Since we are at the lake so much and love to camp, we have been looking at purchasing a travel trailer. After a couple of weeks of searching we finally found the one! Brant was able to bring it home today, and I have been busy filling it with lots of stuff. I can't believe how much room I have in my closets in the house! We even have a trip planned for next weekend too.

A Very Long Weekend!

Well this weekend was just full of activities for us. Sometimes we do so much I feel like I need another day of the weekend. On Saturday we went to lake Bastrop. It was really more of a girls lake trip, but of course we had to have a driver for the boat, so Brant came along. :)

Brant even had a chance to wakeboard.

After the lake, we all went home, got cleaned up and meet again to go to the Luling Watermelon Festival in Luling, Texas. I know what your thinking; what do you do at a watermelon festival? Well to be honest with you, I dont know. We usually go for the evening festivities which include:

Eating

Taking silly pictures

and enjoying good company.

On Sunday we went to Lake Austin and just enjoyed the day swimming and spending time with friends.

And yes, we even took silly pictures.

All in all it was a good weekend, but I'm EXHAUSTED!

Welcome Baby Jade!

Well, she is finally here! Jade was born on June 19, 2010 at 1:41 p.m. There were a few bumps in the road, but mom and baby are both doing good. Jade is definitely a rock star! She sleeps all day and is up all night. I think mom and dad are both exhausted.

She is going to be so spoiled, and she has so many people who love her already! Especially aunt Jen!

Not Yet?

So, my best friend Carrie is having a baby! She went into the hospital Thursday night to be induced and as of yesterday nothing has happened. Baby Jade is being very stubborn! I plan on going back to the hospital today and hopefully I will have some news to report tomorrow.

Dad's 60th Birthday

This Sunday was my dad's 60th birthday. We celebrated by having a few people over, mostly neighbors, and bar-b-qued. Everyone knows my dad pretty much has every power tool, gadget, and toy you can think of. So, what do you get a man who has everything? Well my dads pride and joy is a 1969 SS El Camino that needs to be restored, and my mom saved up all the money my dad has saved since he quit smoking and gave it to him to restore his car. I think it's the first time I have ever seen my dad speechless.

I think he really enjoyed his gifts!

Muegge Wedding

This weekend we were in Brenham celebrating the marriage of Danny and Julie Muegge. Julie and Brant work together in the Austin Fire Department and Brant also knows Danny from Brenham. We spent the evening with Brants old friends from high school and family friends. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but we were having so much fun I never took my camera out! Here is the only picture we took that evening.

Monday, June 7, 2010

On Sunday, we spent the whole day working around the house and cleaning up, but it was so hot though that of course we went to the lake and swam that afternoon. It's just too easy to for us to drive down the road two minutes and go to the lake for a couple of hours. Here are some pictures of Brant wakeboarding. I know it seems like thats's all I take pictures of, but he's really good, and I'm proud of him. He has his next lesson at Lake Austin on Tuesday. I think the instructors will be impressed!

Girl's Night

On Friday a few girlfriends and I went to a local bar in downtown Bastrop to have a couple drinks. I know what your thinking, Bastrop has a downtown? Well this is just a small bar on Main Street we usually go to when there is nothing else going on. Here are some pictures.

Memorial Day 2010

Happy Memorial Day!

Our Memorial Day actually started on Sunday, since Brant had to work on Saturday. We started the weekend off by going to Lake Austin. Just like every holiday weekend, the lake was very crowded.

We at lunch at Hula Hut and then spent the rest of the day with our friends.

On Monday, we went to Lake Somerville. Some of the same crowd we had invited on Sunday came, but we also had other friends come out as well.

Towards the end of the day the water was so calm Brant and Steven even had a chance to wakeboard.

It was the perfect weekend to be on the lake, and we could not have asked for better weather. I was definitely not ready to go back to work on Tuesday!

Thank you to all of our friends for spending the weekend with us and a big thank you to our soldiers!
